Farideh Hassani Rezai has received her Ph.D. in Clinical psychology specializing in post-traumatic stress disorder. She has been practicing in San Diego in hospitals, institutions and private practice for adults and couples. She has been a professor in two universities teaching graduate students. She is the author of the book "Healing the wounds of abuse" that was published in 1992 which focuses on the new approach of coping with past traumatic events. She has participated in the development of programs regarding trauma recovery. This approach is a kind and gentle approach that has assisted the community in spreading public knowledge in stopping the abuse cycles. Her Trauma Recovery Program was established and supported by three well-known hospitals in San Diego. She is actively involved with local hospitals in the supervision of post-doctorate students to provide further training.
